…to my blog, my little corner of the internet to share the things that I love. Here you will find recipes, crafts, book/TV/movie reviews and vintage pretties. Aside from my day job, I am studying for my Masters degree in Psychology so I may post my progress here from time to time.
I adore baking and cooking tasty meals for my husband, our families and friends. I find inspiration from traditional English cooking, but I also enjoy cooking recipes from around the world. I particularly love trying and learning different sweet and savoury dishes from my husband and his family from Spain and from the time that I spent there myself as a young student.
I am never without a craft project on the go (sometimes more than one!). I enjoy curling up to watch a film or TV series while knitting something cosy for the house or to wear.
I run an Etsy shop – Sea Salt Designs – where I sell hand knitted and sewn accessories, and hand made eco-friendly jewellery.
As a lifelong book worm and movie fanatic, I will be posting about new discoveries that have got me hooked. I am always open to suggestions, so please leave a comment with any recommendations! I tend to love historical stories or fantasy, fairy tale themes, but really I will read anything if its left in front of me long enough.
I am also a huge history geek, as you can tell by the books I read. My husband and I love a trip to a castle or historical landmark.
The Tower of London is my favourite place in London, and we have enjoyed many trips to places such as Hampton Court Palace and never miss a walk around the Castle of Santa Barbara on our trips home to Alicante.
Apart from visits to historical palaces, we also enjoy spending a weekend morning hunting for vintage treasures at local boot sales and antique centres. I am building my wardrobe of beautiful vintage dresses and developing my 50’s inspired hair and makeup looks.
I hope that you enjoy reading as much as I hope to enjoy writing! I would be happy to collaborate with anyone on post ideas and to work with any reviews of particular items, please do get in touch either by a comment or through my contact page.
